Isn't the world just so crazy , Cape Town usually has good rainfall , but not the last couple of years , and at the moment we are basically in a drought with our dam levels at about 30% , from a couple of years ago when the norm was 100% + , and then in other countries around the world there are Hurricane's , monsoons and generally high levels of rain .
But down here in paradise we have good weather predicted for the weekend , so we will be popping over to Betty's Bay to overnight at a friends house and then tomorrow hop over the mountains to Caledon where we are doing a charity ride , the Canola run . Caledon is an agricultural hub and one of the main crops is the Canola plant used for the production of vegetable cooking oil . The charity event is a motorcycle ride through the farmlands with refreshment stops along the way and a barbeque at the end . All proceeds go to an orphanage in town .
I will post photographs tomorrow night .

Thank you Ray , and I must admit that we all had a wonderful day , weather was overcast with just a few light drops on the way through . As mentioned we overnighted at our friend Peter's house on the coast , it basically halved our travelling time to Caledon . And on arrival it was great too see such a decent attendance , in excess of 200 motorcycles , so a good revenue event for the charity involved . Kayleigh was pillioning with dad and Riana was on her own motorcycle , and we did a lot of riding on the day , downside was that Riana had two faceplants ( tumbles ) and was feeling particularly tender last night . Nothing a good massage and a decent nights sleep couldn't solve though , this morning she was back to her chirpy self so definitely felt much better .
Unfortunately didn't get to take as many photographs as I would have liked though .

The girls were out for the count pretty early , I went to sleep much later , but then I have a lengthy history of long motorsport events and long distance touring so I handle these things pretty well .
But Kayleigh was keen to do riding on her own motorcycle today , I bought this for her about 2 months ago and she is starting to get used to it now .
